Apachean Tribes: Excellent archers and missile cavalry but infantry is a little weak and wields mostly archaic weaponry.
Mayans: Lacking in technology and only has basic, poorly equipped infantry. Large armies and some fierce elite units, but no navy. Aztec Empire: Lacking in technology and only has basic, poorly equipped infantry. However, European units are small and the player must often rely on native mercenaries to bulk their armies. New Spain: Well armed and armoured infantry and cavalry, including dragoons and musketeers. The Europeans must struggle with exploring an unknown land filled with violent natives, whilst the Native Americans attempt to stall foreign invasion whilst simultaneously expanding their own lands at the expense of their neighbours.
The Americas campaign is set in the early sixteenth century, covering the early period of European colonisation of Central America. You can play a quick game or a custom game with all the factions included. Please note that when the factions list below states that a certain faction is non-playable then this applies ONLY to the Campaign game. Each new campaign must be individually installed and the entire expansion pack takes up around 4 GB of hard drive space.
